Xerox believes it has found a way to dramatically reduce the consumption of paper: The firm has developed a technology that automatically erases the prints on paper after one day – and allows the paper to be reused “multiple times”.

A new technology, which Xerox calls “erasable paper”, could dramatically change this scenario: The company said it has developed a technology that blurs the line between paper documents and digital displays and, in its present version, self-erases prints in about 16-24 hours. According to the company, the erasable paper may use “compounds that change color when they absorb a certain wavelength of light but then will gradually disappear.”

and add this technology to 450 gb paper lol .. we have another hdd :)

According to a report from the Arab News, a university technology student named Sainul Abideen has invented a method of storing massive amounts of digital data on a plain piece of paper that he claims could store many times the capacity of the best Blu-ray or HD-DVD discs. In fact, Abideen says that his Rainbow technology can enable him to store up to 450GB on a piece of paper. As far as a real life demonstration of a 450GB paper goes, the technology still needs development.

Abideen claims that that his Rainbow system is better than a binary storage because instead of using ones and zeros to represent data, Abideen uses geometric shapes such as squares and hexagons to represent data patterns. Color is also used in the system to represent other data elements. According to Abideen, all that’s required to read the Rainbow prints is a scanner and specialized software.

And we were thinking that the Blu-ray is the next in thing :P

I simply am amazed at the power of google. Today when i was searching for freeware and stuff for red eye removal , i landed on a site called Give Away of the Day.This site gives you a free licensed copy of a commercial software that you would have to buy in order get all of its functions.

The trick behind PS3 to sell it was to make it available in low quantity and make it exclusive kind of thing, so that when next batch arrives it will be sold in a day.

Wii did the exact opposite of this they made all there 600,000 consoles available on the launch day and guess what … They sold there entire batch, seems like people at sony need to rethink there strategy or they are going down.

Btw i pulled up this nice userbar from nexgen site which shows number of consoles sold so far.

PhpBB3’s 3rd beta was released a few day’s back and i finally got a chance to check it out today. To tell you the truth i was never a fan of PhpBB (i was more like Invision yay :P ) ,but all that changed with the Olympus(phpbb3) releases. With the 3rd beta already out there seems a very good chance that we might be able to see very first release candidate coming out in near future coz all the bugs seem to be resolved and features are more than comprehensive and cant be really expanded any further (at least that’s what im thinking ) .

Click here to go to there download page . Just don’t get excited and make this copy live as we are not really sure that there would be a way to upgrade path to the final release as of now.

Having already flirted with the idea of making money while blogging , through TextAds provided by google (which apparently didnt workout so well coz of the people simply refusing to click on 1 :P ).

I thought of giving ReviewME a try . ReviewMe uses an algorithm based on Alexa, Technorati, feed suscribers and other statistics such as traffic, etc a to determine how much a blog post is worth on the blog. The bloggers get payout of half of what there is site is worth, so if your site is worth $40 then you will get a payout of $20 (you can even get $200 per blog post, if your site gets huge traffic and is high on technorati and alexa rankings). Also you dont get deprived of the amount that has been promised by your advertiser if the comments on your site are negative (ReviewME considers them to be a constructive critisism ).

Since i have just signed up for the service and new to it ,i really dont know how credible it is but just watching this site grow and number of bloggers getting attracted to it, it seems the site is here to stay.

The nice thing about this system unlike others is that you have to mention in the post that the product you are reviewing or writting about is an advertisment, so that users get a fair idea of what they are reading. Even otherwise reviewing is much more fun than just praising a product :P

Btw not every blog can signup for this service you have to pass there minimum criteria to join up. You will get your very first advertisment (review) by the reviewme guys only. So this is my first review (advertisment :P )

To sum it all up i think that this service is here to stay and will definetly be better than those mindless ads that we see today on blogs.

Image of headset

Specifications :-

Price : 1195
Name : SBC HP805
Driver width : 40mm
Impedance : 32 Ohms
Sensitivity : 106 db
Type : Semi Open
Cable Length : 3m
Jacks : 3.5mm + 6.5mm (picture included)

Build Quality : 8/10

The only reason i have deducted 2 points is that the headband isnt leather (by looking at it ,u come to believe it is a leather headband ) , even though the piece is made of plastic .. it isnt that tacky plastic that you see on other headphones and it doesnt give you that shallow noise of being plastic when you tap against it :)

Comfort : 9/10

It isnt heavy , it doesnt hurt your ears and you even seem to forget that you are wearing these :P

Sound Reproduction : 7/10 and for this price range 10/10

For the price range of 1.2k nothing comes close to beating this , but if you compare this with those sony and sens then it does lack a bit.

Bass : tested using Rammstien tracks (almost perfect )

The volume doesnt crank up when u raise it to max. and it doesnt miss out on the lower freq. as well.

For the price of INR 1.2k i dont think anything can beat this beauty .

Wanted to keep this review short and sweet :)
